What is Sticky Session?
Also known as: Session Persistence
Holding the same proxy IP for a set duration across multiple requests.
A sticky session keeps the same exit IP assigned to your requests for a defined period — commonly up to 10–30 minutes — instead of rotating it. Stickiness is required whenever a workflow spans multiple requests that must look like one continuous user: logging in, adding items to a cart, completing a checkout, or navigating a multi-step form. Aethyn lets you request a sticky session directly in the proxy username, with rotation resuming automatically when the session expires.
