This Privacy Policy explains how Sai IT Solutions Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), operating the Aethyn residential proxy service, collects, uses, and protects personal data. It forms part of, and should be read with, our Terms of Service.
Effective date: 10 June 2026
1. About Us
Aethyn is a brand of Sai IT Solutions Ltd, a company registered in Ras Al Khaimah with its registered office at Innovation City Free Zone, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. For any privacy question or request, contact support@aethyn.io.
2. Scope and Governing Law
We process personal data in accordance with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the PDPL), supervised by the UAE Data Office. Where you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we also apply the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR); where you are a California resident, we apply the CCPA/CPRA. Our EU/UK Article 27 representative is: [EU/UK Article 27 representative — to be appointed].
3. What We Collect
- Account and identity data: name, email, password (hashed), and any KYC/verification details we require.
- Billing data: plan and transaction history, VAT/Tax ID, and partial payment details handled by our payment processors (we do not store full card numbers).
- Usage and connection logs: for each connection, metadata such as source IP, target host and port, bytes transferred, and timestamps; plus dashboard usage and API activity.
- Device and cookie data: IP address, browser/device information, and cookies or similar technologies (see Section 9).
- Communications: messages you send to support or live chat.
- Fraud and security signals: IP-intelligence and risk signals used to detect abuse and prevent fraud.
4. Proxy Traffic
We do not systematically inspect or store the content of the payloads you route through the proxy network. We do, however, retain connection metadata (including destination host and port) for up to 90 days for billing accuracy, network security, fraud and abuse prevention, and to respond to lawful requests, after which it is deleted or aggregated.
5. How and Why We Use Data
We use personal data to provide and bill the Service (performance of our contract with you); to secure the Service and prevent fraud and abuse, and to operate KYC and sanctions screening (our legitimate interests and legal obligations); to provide support; and, with your consent, to send marketing. We do not make decisions producing legal effects about you based solely on automated processing.
6. How We Share Data
We share personal data with service providers (sub-processors) who act on our behalf, including: Stripe (card payments), B2BInPay (cryptocurrency payments), Resend (transactional email), Hetzner and Vercel (hosting and infrastructure), ip-api (IP intelligence / fraud and sanctions screening), Chatwoot (live chat support), and our upstream residential proxy network supplier(s) (names available to business customers on request under NDA). We may also disclose data to authorities or other parties where required by law, to comply with sanctions/AML obligations, or to protect our rights, users, or the Service. We do not sell personal data.
7. International Transfers
We are based in the United Arab Emirates and our providers may be located elsewhere. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision, as applicable.
8. Retention
We keep connection logs for up to 90 days. We keep account and financial records for as long as your account is active and thereafter as required for tax, accounting, AML, and dispute-resolution purposes. We delete or anonymise data when it is no longer needed.
9. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies (for authentication, session, and security, including the login session cookie), and — where you consent — functional, analytics, and live-chat (Chatwoot) cookies. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings; blocking strictly necessary cookies may break the dashboard.
10. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your personal data, object to certain processing, and withdraw consent. California residents have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out, without discrimination. To exercise a right, email support@aethyn.io; we may need to verify your identity, and some data may be retained where the law requires. You may also complain to the UAE Data Office or your local supervisory authority.
11. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege practices — to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
13. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time; the "Effective date" above shows the latest version, and material changes will be notified through the Service.
