YouTube residential proxies
YouTube is defended by Google's own proprietary bot infrastructure — BotGuard, reCAPTCHA, and the escalating "Sign in to confirm you're not a bot" interstitial — rather than a third-party vendor. Most public data (video metadata, comment threads, trending shelves, ad renders) is served through the internal InnerTube API, and streaming URLs are throttled unless the signed n-parameter is resolved. Datacenter and flagged IPs hit the confirmation gate within a handful of requests, so residential exits in the target country keep trending feeds, ad inventory, and regional availability rendering as they would for a real viewer.
Public InnerTube metadata and regional feeds are reachable on Premium residential IPs at moderate rates; step up to Elite only when high-volume harvesting starts drawing the sign-in-to-confirm gate or you need consistent city-level ad targeting.
Why YouTube is hard
- The "Sign in to confirm you're not a bot" interstitial escalates quickly against repeat requests from low-trust IPs
- Trending shelves, recommended shelves, and pre-roll ads are computed per-country and per-language
- Streaming URLs carry a signed n-parameter that throttles download speed unless correctly resolved
- Google correlates requests through BotGuard and reCAPTCHA signals, not IP alone

Targeting & session tips
- Set the proxy country to the market whose feed, ads, or availability you want to observe.
- Align the client's Accept-Language and gl/hl parameters with the proxy country for consistent locale.
- Use Elite city-level exits when auditing ads Google targets at metro granularity.
