Indeed residential proxies
Indeed retired its public Job Search / Publisher API and now leans on Cloudflare Bot Management to police the site, so structured job data has to come from the public search and job-detail HTML. Crucially, results are localized by an on-site location field and search radius rather than by IP alone, and the site returns 403s or interactive challenges quickly once a single IP bursts. Residential exits in the target country present the kind of IP reputation Cloudflare trusts, returning the localized listings a jobseeker in that market actually sees.
Public listing and job-detail pages are reachable on rotating Premium residential IPs when paced sensibly; Cloudflare's defenses here are driven more by request cadence and IP reputation than by the hard interactive walls that would justify Elite.
Why Indeed is hard
- The public jobs API was retired, so all structured data must be parsed from HTML search/detail pages
- Cloudflare Bot Management issues fast 403s and Turnstile-style challenges on bursty IPs
- Listings key off a location + radius query, so IP country alone does not localize results
- Deep pagination plus 'jobs seen recently' de-duplication makes broad sweeps request-heavy
How to approach Indeed with Aethyn
Targeting & session tips
- Match -country to the job market, and set Indeed's own location field to the city you want.
- Use Elite -city targeting when a metro's local listings diverge from the national feed.
- Rotate per request to spread a large keyword crawl across the pool and avoid single-IP burn.
See the full targeting reference for username suffixes.
